The Official Clothing Provider To Halesowen Cricket Club

Gentlemen & Players are incredibly proud to announce a new partnership with Halesowen Cricket Club, becoming their new exclusive clothing provider for the foreseeable future. 

After their contract with a previous supplier expired at the end of last year, Halesowen broadcast their requirement for a 3-year agreement at HCC. 

“G&P came highly recommended by a couple of lads who play for Bucks. The Cricket Management Group reviewed all tenders, and G&P emerged as our preferred option based on quality, service, and cost. We look forward to working with G&P over the next three years,” said Carl Bust, Chairman of Halesowen CC. 

We pride ourselves on our product quality and do our utmost to ensure that all deliverables are met promptly. 

On registration day for Halesowen, members old and new flocked to HQ to sign up, pay for their membership, and make those almighty kit orders. Bust spoke about how happy he was to see many youth and senior players coming together to sign up and try on their new kit, making the season seem so close. 

“It was good to see so many senior and youth players joining the club to view and try on the new kit. It makes it feel like the season is just around the corner. We need to weather to improve!!”

Over the next year, Halesowen is looking to run many more events for social and playing members to try and bring an influx of new members to the grounds. Whilst cricket is a priority, the club fosters community, fun, and friendship and aims to bring everyone together, so focusing on events that allow this to happen is a priority for Halesowen this year. 

“Off the field, we have a very busy year ahead, and we are looking to run several new events to attract new members to the club. On the field, the 1st XI had a good season and was still in the hunt for the title going into the August Bank Holiday weekend. This year, we want to go one step further!”

As they continue to grow, Halesowen will look to spend more time growing the club’s women and girls section. But to do this, they need that influx of new members to continue improving facilities and accessibility for a secondary ground – adding resources to all club sections. 

Director of G&P Chris Sketchley said, “We are extremely excited to become Halesowen’s official clothing provider for the next three years.”

“Halesowen have reached the national indoor finals, which gives us the first opportunity to show off some G&P clothing at Lords.”

How G&P Have Adapted To Meet The Needs of Large Clubs

Over the past five years, we have worked extremely hard to understand the clubs’ needs in terms of both the garments we supply and the logistical operation. 

Timing is vital in these relationships, as garments must be provided promptly to fulfil the club’s requirements. We have robust manufacturing options that have taken many years to perfect, and we feel we are close to this now. 

We look forward to growing our partnership with Halesowen over the coming years.
