Henley Royal Regatta Project

In 2018 we starting working with the fashion brand Hackett and designing Rowing caps for the winners of the Henley Royal Regatta races, which is sponsored by Hackett. The first Henley Regatta was in 1839 and this would be the first year that these caps would be awarded.

With such a prestigious event Hackett was keen to get the look of the caps right with the main focus of the caps on the design of the Henley Royal Regatta logo. There are also 23 different races across Mens, Ladies, Junior Boys, and Junior girls, so there were several bespoke elements involved in the caps.

As you will also see in the image below the shape of a rowing cap is different from other styles of traditional caps.

This was a fantastic project to be involved with and I am delighted to say Hackett and Henley Royal Regatta have decided to allow past winners the opportunity to get a cap from the race than won. So the likes of Sir Steve Redgrave, Matthew Pinsent, and James Cracknell can all get their caps from this summer.
